The First Day Cover (FDC) is issued alongside the stamp from the same issue. In addition to the affixed stamp and the commemorative postmark for the date of issue, the left-hand side of the cover features an overprint relating to the stamp’s subject matter. The stamp depicts Prague’s Loreto, one of the Czech capital’s most significant landmarks. The dominant feature of the design is the building known as the Holy House (Santa Casa), complemented by a detail of the statue of Our Lady of Loreto, which is one of Loreto’s most precious treasures. The composition is rounded off by a reference to the famous Loreto carillon, one of the best-known symbols of this exceptional place.
