The work, attributed to the Master of the Karlštejn Apocalypse, was created for the monarch’s personal contemplation and remains one of Karlštejn’s most valuable artistic treasures to this day. The postage stamp faithfully commemorates the rich cultural heritage of Karlštejn Castle and the extraordinary beauty of Czech Gothic art.
